A Merritt man has been charged for possession of cocaine and methamphetamine. On February 10, 2021, the Merritt RCMP General Investigation Section arrested a male who was unlawfully at large. A search following his arrest lead police to find and seize amounts of cocaine and methamphetamine from his person. On April 30, 2021, the Public Prosecution Service of Canada approved two counts of possession of a controlled substance, under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, against Ernest Loos of Merritt.
