379 new cases of Covid 19 have been confirmed in the Republic today, with nine additional Covid related deaths reported.
There were 27 new cases in Donegal, which has a 14 day incidence rate of 253.2 cases per 100,000 people, compared to a national figure of 128.1. Donegal once again has the highest incidence rate in the country.
In Northern Ireland, health officials confirmed 89 new cases of the virus today, with one additional death.

As of midnight, Monday 10
th May, the HPSC has been notified of 379 confirmed cases of COVID-19. There is now a total of 253,567 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland.
Of the cases notified today:
190 are men / 185 are women
77% are under 45 years of age
The median age is 29 years old
171 in Dublin, 27 in Donegal, 28 in Kildare, 24 in Limerick, 22 in Cork and the remaining 107 cases are spread across 18 other counties .

There were 39 new cases in Donegal, which has a 14 day incidence rate of 260.7 cases per 100,000 people, compared to a national figure of 129. Donegal once again has the highest incidence rate in the country.

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway is holding steady in the COVID-19 cases table, with just 8 new cases reported today, despite 434 new cases being reported nationally, which is higher than recent days
Nationally, 4 additional deaths have been reported
Of the new cases 197 are in Dublin, 44 in Cork, 34 in Kildare, 20 in Limerick, 20 in Meath and the remaining 119 cases are spread across 16 other counties.
126 covid patients are hospitalised, of which 34 are in ICU.
In Galway there are currently seven COVID patients at UHG, three of whom are being treated in ICU.
There are a further 2 patients being treated for the virus at Portiuncula, with no admittals to the ICU.
