Six more virus-related deaths and 234 new coronavirus cases were reported in the state since Thursday, according to daily numbers released by the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
A total of 449,648 Oklahomans have tested positive for COVID-19 and the provisional death count of virus-related deaths stayed at 8,327, the state health department said on Friday.
The seven-day rolling average for new cases reported was 192 cases
, the state health department said.
As of Wednesday, 2,721,002 total vaccine doses have been administered and 1,236,040 prime doses have been given by the state. More than 1,036,500 Oklahomans have completed both inoculations.
About 178 Oklahomans are currently in acute care OSDH licensed facilities with 69 in the ICU and 12 are currently in other types of facilities due to COVID-19.

Some educators are urging Gov. Kevin Stitt to veto the legislation, which passed both chambers of the Oklahoma Legislature with overwhelming Republican support.
House Bill 1775 would prohibit instructors from teaching that “one race or sex is inherently superior to another,” and that “an individual, by virtue of his or her race or sex, is inherently racist, sexist or oppressive.”
It would explicitly forbid critical race theory, which examines the way race and racism influence American politics, legal systems and society.

As of Wednesday, 2,632,963 total vaccine doses have been administered and 1,216,951 prime doses have been given by the state. More than 985,300 Oklahomans have completed both inoculations.
