NSC: Those with vaccination appointments may travel beyond allowed distance in MCO areas

PETALING JAYA: Individuals scheduled to be vaccinated against Covid-19 may travel beyond the permitted distance during the movement control order (MCO), said the National Security Council (NSC). In a tweet on Friday (May 7), the NSC said those who had appointments to be vaccinated only need to show details of their appointment if asked by authorities at roadblocks. Travelling beyond the allowed distance during the MCO to go to vaccination centres is allowed. Please show details of your appointment or verification at MySejahtera if asked by authorities, it said. At the same time, NSC also said the public may refer to vaksincovid.gov.my/panduan for a guide on how to register under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.

Viral message on private vaccination scheme is fake, says healthcare provider

In a statement, RSDH said anyone receiving the message should disregard it. “There is no private registration for vaccination at any of the RSDH facilities. “Members of the public are advised to not respond to any such messages offering private Covid-19 vaccination at our three hospitals, ” it said on Friday (May 7).
