Witnesses New Milestone for Reindustrialisation in Hong Kong
HONG KONG SAR â Media OutReach â 26 February 2021 â The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) launches a series of activities in 2021 themed âMake Smart Smarterâ. Hong Kong: I&T fund adds new partners
The Innovation & Technology Commission today announced that the Innovation & Technology Venture Fund has added three venture capital funds as co-investment partners.
The commission called for a new round of applications from venture capital funds to become co-investment partners of the fund early this year.
It received 11 applications.
Based on the assessment criteria including the venture capital fund s capability, its investment strategy and performance, its management team s expertise and experience and its local network and resources, as well as the advice of the fund’s advisory committee, the commission selected three co-investment partners at the first stage.
Hong Kong: Virtual InnoCarnival begins
The Innovation & Technology Commission today launched the Virtual InnoCarnival 2020 to showcase an array of the latest local innovations and research achievements in collaboration with around 50 programme partners.
Speaking at the event s launch, Financial Secretary Paul Chan noted the Government has allocated more than $100 billion over the past three years to support various policy initiatives for promoting the development of innovation and technology (I&T) infrastructure and an I&T ecosystem, pushing forward Hong Kong s I&T development on all fronts and at full steam.
Mr Chan said the Government will continue to invest in the future to improve the quality of life and to create more quality employment opportunities for the young generation, adding that it will also continue to strengthen the support for nurturing and attracting talent, expanding the I&T talent pool for local I&T development to further flourish.
