CARROLLTON MAN ACCUSED OF KNOCKING OVER GAS PUMP AND LEAVING THE SCENE HAS INITIAL APPEARANCE SCHEDULED IN CARROLL COUNTY

A 33-year-old Carrollton man is facing a felony charge for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident on October 3, 2020. According to a probable-cause statement, a law-enforcement officer was dispatched to the report of a hit-and-run accident at Casey’s General Store in Carrollton. Upon arrival, the officer observed the gas pump on the far west side was lying on its side. Several taillight parts also were found in the area. Talking to a witness and viewing surveillance footage, authorities identified the suspect vehicle as belonging to Preston Kyle Fiddick. Court documents say a warrant has been issued and Fiddick is charged with a Class E Felony for Leaving the Scene of an Accident- Property Damage Exceeding $1,000 and a misdemeanor for driving while revoked or suspended. Bond is set at $20,000 cash or licensed surety.

TWO AREA MEN CHARGED WITH DRUG-RELATED FELONIES AFTER EXECUTION OF SEARCH WARRANT

Bond currently has been denied for two area men who are facing drug-related felony charges after the execution of a search warrant revealed numerous drug-related items at a residence in the 400 block of West Lincoln Avenue in Carrollton on Thursday, January 21. According to a probable-cause statement, 42-year-old Alando Harker, of Carrollton, and 43-year-old Timothy Adam Stanley, of Sumner, were present. Authorities say they found a glass smoking pipe; a homemade water bong; a glass marijuana pipe; some controlled pills; crystal shards which tested positive for methamphetamine; hypodermic syringes; a digital scale; two cell phones- one of which contained messages pertaining to the sale of narcotics and had Harker’s Facebook account signed in; and several other drug-related items.

A Carrollton man is facing a felony following an incident involving an explosion on Halloween. At approximately 10:29 p.m. on October 31, 2020, Carrollton Police Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Kinsey and Spring Street in Carrollton for a reported explosion. The explosion reportedly shook windows and knocked things off walls in homes in the area and witnesses stated they observed a male subject, identified as 44-year-old Jason Sullenger, on a minibike ride away from the area shortly after the blast. The officer was able to recover what appeared to be parts of an improvised explosive device. Upon further investigation, the following day, officers observed a large amount of what appeared to be black rubber, newspaper, duct-tape, and sand dispersed in a circle area.
