A 34-year-old Carrollton man is facing a felony charge for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident on October 3, 2020. According to a probable-cause statement, a law-enforcement officer was dispatched to the report of a hit-and-run accident at Casey’s General Store in Carrollton that left a gas pump on its side. After further investigation, authorities identified the suspect vehicle as belonging to Preston Kyle Fiddick. Fiddick pleaded not guilty, on February 1, to a Class E Felony for Leaving the Scene of an Accident – Property Damage Exceeding $1,000 and a misdemeanor for driving while revoked or suspended. Fiddick’s bond was amended to ROR bond with special conditions.

Upon arrival, the officer observed the gas pump on the far west side was lying on its side. Several taillight parts also were found in the area. Talking to a witness and viewing surveillance footage, authorities identified the suspect vehicle as belonging to Preston Kyle Fiddick. Court documents say a warrant has been issued and Fiddick is charged with a Class E Felony for Leaving the Scene of an Accident- Property Damage Exceeding $1,000 and a misdemeanor for driving while revoked or suspended. Bond is set at $20,000 cash or licensed surety.
