In November 2020, California voters approved Proposition 24, the California Privacy Rights Act, which amends the California Consumer Privacy Act. Among other changes, the California Privacy Rights Act establishes the California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA), which will be responsible for additional rulemaking under the California Privacy Rights Act. The California Privacy Protection Agency’s first meeting will include informational presentations, including on the Administrative Procedures Act, and subcommittee assignments, according to the agenda.
