Doha: The Continuing and Professional Education department at College of the North Atlantic – Qatar (CNA-Q) has joined hands with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) for the sixth year to offer ‘The Fundamentals of Diabetes Education’ program.
The latter includes tailored courses that provide HMC employees with the necessary skills and knowledge required to specialize in the field of diabetes education, and contribute to Qatar’s National Diabetes Strategy 2016-22.
The initiative is an important step in actively responding to the diabetes health challenge in the State of Qatar.
Professionals taking part in this program will acquire a solid foundation in diabetes-care management, and will have the chance to practice and apply their knowledge in a safe environment. Furthermore, participants will be trained on how to interact with patients of all ages and from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Education Above All Foundation awards 59 scholarships to expatriate youth

Doha: Expanding higher education opportunities for youth across Qatar, Education Above All Foundation (EAA)’s Al Fakhoora programme, in collaboration with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, awarded a total of 59 students with a Dynamic Futures Qatar Scholarship as part of the Qatar Scholarship Programme, in a virtual ceremony on Thursday.
The DFQ scholarship aims to provide youth aged 17 to 25, who have spent most of their formative years in Qatar, with access to higher education. They can apply to distinguished universities in the country, including Qatar University (QU), Stenden University of Applied Sciences–Qatar, College of the North Atlantic – Qatar (CNA-Q), University of Calgary in Qatar (UCQ), and partner universities of Qatar Foundation (QF).
