While the forecast beyond the weekend is still uncertain, the Governor s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) is urging all Louisianans to plan accordingly.

FEMA: Aid Deadline for Residential Losses from Hurricane Zeta March 15 February 12, 2021 Residents in six Louisiana parishes have until mid-March to apply for Hurricane Zeta, the Federal Emergency Management Agency says. The deadline for parishes and other public entities to apply for Zeta aid has passed. The deadline is March 15 for residents in Jefferson, Lafourche, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard and Terrebonne parishes to apply for individual assistance for housing and other needs, the agency said in a news release. FEMA has received more than 9,000 applications for individual assistance from residents in the six parishes approved for such aid, spokeswoman Melissa Wilkins said in an email. She did not know how many people may be eligible.
