Rockland County Executive Ed Day says he believes the CDC announcement about dropping the mask mandate for those who are vaccinated is the natural step and that it s warranted. Day says he is now anxiously waiting for Gov. Andrew Cuomo to weigh in so he can inform county employees what to do next.

Any homebound individual, of any age, is eligible to receive the vaccine if you live in Westchester. Caregivers for the homebound are also eligible. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, DSPS has vaccinated over 3,000 homebound individuals across the County. Westchester County Executive George Latimer said: “Getting the vaccine is the one thing we all can do to protect ourselves and help stop the spread of COVID-19. All people deserve the opportunity to receive the vaccine, and we want to make sure all homebound individuals have access to it. If you need a vaccine, please reach out to DSPS today.”
