Reno County group asks others to join the conversation on overdoses

The number of drug and alcohol overdoses continues to climb in Reno County, with the county this week eclipsing an average of one overdose per day for the first time since officials began tracking cases in real-time. A group of stakeholders and community partners who’ve been meeting since 2015 to figure out ways to address substance misuse in the community have scheduled several events over the next three months to try to engage the public at large on the issue. Their purpose is to remove the stigma associated with substance misuse, said Reno County Health Department Substance Misuse Health Educator Seth Dewey.
