SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Jake Crusan was born and raised in Shreveport but spent the last four years in Baton Rouge earning his degree at LSU.
Crusan was a 2021 Summa Cum Laude graduate who received a degree in engineering. He was awarded the Edward McLaughlin Dean’s Medal of Excellence for having the highest GPA in the college of engineering, and he was also a University Medalist for making all A’s during his time at LSU.
Foy teaches art workshops, spearheads public art projects and volunteers with various festivals and events.
The annual Champions of Service Award recognizes outstanding volunteers from seven geographic regions across the state, plus outstanding AmeriCorps, Senior Corps and Corporate volunteer programs.
“Nowhere else is our state’s character and resilience of spirit more evident that through the volunteers we have here in Louisiana,” said Nungesser. “The Champions of Service Awards are just one way we can recognize the impact our volunteers have on their communities. It is a chance to celebrate our volunteers and thank them for lending their time to make a difference for their fellow Louisianans. I am proud to help honor the achievements of our service champions while encouraging others to become active volunteers in their communities.”

SHREVEPORT, La. â Caddo Parish Public Schools announced on Monday that Robert Middleton will be the next principal of Caddo Parish Magnet High School. Robert Middleton is a leader who understands the key role supporting teachers plays in the climate and culture of a campus and in overall student achievement,â said Superintendent Lamar Goree. âWith an unwavering faith and commitment to excellence, I have no doubt he is the right person to lead Magnet High in its next chapter.â
Seeing his role as one built on servant leadership and addressing the needs of stakeholders, Middleton said he was honored to be selected for the position.
