Local firefighters braved the snowy and frigid conditions while battling a large warehouse fire in Princeton Wednesday night.
The Princeton Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the old Leroi building on South Seminary Street shortly after 8:00 p.m.
Caldwell County Emergency Manager Joey McCaslin tells the News Edge 24 firefighters responded to the warehouse fire with an aerial truck and two pumper trucks. Two ambulances, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office and Princeton Police Department also assisted at the scene.
The Fredonia and Eddyville Fire Departments were also on standby at the Princeton fire station to respond to any other emergency calls while firefighters fought to contain and extinguish the fire.

More Information Released On Arrests Of Three Suspects In Drug Trafficking Case

39-year-old Jermaine Douglas Grandy, 25-year-old Khyran Rasaan Littlejohn, and 18-year-old Nevaeh Douglas Grandy were all arrested Sunday (February 14) by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. Jermaine and Nevaeh Grandy are father and son and list the same Old North Road, Lenoir address. Littlejohn’s address is on Patton Street in Morganton. All three suspects are charged with two counts of felony traffic in opium or heroin.

The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office continues to search for missing Texas State student Jason Landry and recently obtained access to his phone and computer data.
CCSO partnered with the Texas Rangers and a team of retired federal agents and private investigators to locate Landry who has been missing since Dec. 13, 2020. The sheriff’s office has received assistance from the Caldwell County District Attorney’s Office, Texas State University Police, San Marcos Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety and TEXSAR Texas Search and Rescue.
