Calhoun County introduces new online registration for COVID-19 vaccines

Calhoun County logo BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The Calhoun County Public Health Department has introduced a new online registration system to schedule COVID-19 vaccine appointments. The Department said in a statement released on Wednesday that this registration portal will act as a wait list for COVID-19 vaccine appointments moving forward. Once pre-registered with our system, a follow-up email and/or text will be sent when new vaccine clinics are available to sign up for. The statement went on to say this online scheduler allows for a much more streamlined process for scheduling COVID-19 vaccine appointments. The Public Health Department says they will continue to follow the State of Michigan’s vaccine eligibility guidelines.

Online COVID-19 vaccine registration system open in Calhoun County

Calhoun County has opened its online registration system to schedule COVID-19 vaccine appointments. All county residents, regardless of current eligibility, can register for a vaccination. The online system will act as a waitlist for COVID-19 vaccine appointments moving forward.  Once people have pre-registered with the online system, the county will send a follow-up email or text when there are new vaccine clinics available. The online system will streamline the county s process for scheduling COVID-19 vaccine appointments as eligibility expands.  The Calhoun County Public Health Department continues to follow the state s vaccine eligibility guidelines. Frontline essential workers in Phase 1B whose employers previously submitted a form to the health department will have their work groups scheduled for vaccination at upcoming clinics. 

Tekonsha schools to hold virtual classes due to COVID-19 issues, Coldwater High modifies schedule

Coldwater, MI, USA / WTVB | 1590 AM · 95.5 FM | The Voice of Branch County Mar 12, 2021 5:47 AM TEKONSHA, MI (WTVB) – Due to COVID-19 related issues, Tekonsha Community Schools will be closed through next Friday, March 19. Instruction will be virtual during that time. Superintendent Jeff Kawaski says school will resume with face to face instruction on Monday, March 22. The school offices will be open Friday from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm for students that need to pick up chromebooks or textbooks. There will be no games or practices for athletics through March 19. Kawaski said in his post on the district’s Facebook page that closing school was based on information and direction from the Calhoun County Public Health Department and the health and safety of all involved.
