BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) â A man from New York accused of assaulting a federal officer during riots at the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C. on January 6, apparently made over 100 threatening calls to the Calhoun County Sheriffâs office the day before.
WWMT reported Tuesday that the man, later identified as Jonathan Munafo, tied up 9-1-1 lines for hours on January 5th after a viral video was released of a man arrested in Springfield who was collecting signatures for his neighborhood association. The Calhoun County Sheriffâs Office says he identified himself as âYankee Patriotâ, and the 143 calls he made that day included numerous threats and demands to speak with the sheriff.
