The New Patriotic Party s (NPP) National Youth Organizer, Henry Nana Boakye says former President John Dramani Mahama s behaviour in recent times is “worrying” and does not befit his personality as a former President.
This follows John Mahama’s refusal to accept the Supreme Court’s verdict on the 2020 election petition after insisting that the NDC won a majority in parliament but the Electoral Commission through dubious means stole some seats for the NPP.
I disagree with the process of the trial and the ruling of the court .
He said the court was biased to him and his legal team despite ‘running’ to them for clarification after accusing the Electoral Commission of rigging the 2020 presidential election.
New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Akuapem North Constituency in the Eastern Region, Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah Adjei says it’s time for Ghana to focus on its developments after the Supreme Court’s verdict on the election petition.
She called for all to work towards the development of the country for the well-being of the people.
Her plea comes after the Supreme Court on Thursday, 4th March 2021 upheld the results of last year’s presidential election, saying the petitioner failed to prove that the winner did not cross the constitutionally required threshold of more than 50 per cent of the valid votes cast.
The Leadership of the Appointments Committee of Parliament has debunked media reports which suggested the rejection of three of President Akufo-Addo s Ministerial nominees.
It follows widespread speculations that the three includes Minister for Information Designate, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Minister Designate for Agriculture, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto and Minister-Designate for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Mavis Hawa Koomson have been rejected by the minority side of the Committee.
However, responding to the matter in Parliament on Tuesday Chairman of the Committee, Joseph Osei-Owusu, rejected the claim noting that the Committee s duty is only to vet nominees and make recommendations to plenary. He said it is not the duty of the Committee or any of its members to make a pronouncement on the acceptance or rejection of a notice.

According to him, Ghanaians can only be protected from the pandemic through the vaccine which has been the only solution worldwide to curb the spread of the virus.
Herbert Mensah indicated that the numerous conspiracy theories surrounding the vaccine are all made-up to scare people.
