Synopsis
To facilitate income enhancement, provide quality service and easy access to market and other facilities to rural population of Assam, there needs massive investments in rural infrastructure in sectors like agriculture and its allied services such as soil and water resource management, irrigation, rural connectivity, renewable energy etc., besides some of the social sectors.

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has released Rs 492.90 crore for covering various crucial rural development projects,
As many as 310 rural infrastructure projects worth Rs 1,417.36 crore are being implemented in Tamil Naduâs Salem district with NABARD s rural infrastructure development funds.
A Bhama Buvaneswari, Assistant General Manager of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, in a release said that Rs 492.90 crore had been released as part of the projects covering vital development projects like drinking water, rural roads, bridges, cold storage, minor irrigation, rural education institutions and veterinary projects.
The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned funds to the tune of ₹146.64 crore for the implementation of as many as 133 rural infrastructure projects in Cuddalore d
