COVID-19 positive mothers who gave birth at the Lautoka Hospital have been provided with essential supplies from the Foundation of Rural Integrated Enterprises and Development (FRIEND) Fiji.
According to the non-profit organisation, the delivery of the essential items was made possible through a collaborative effort with the Fiji Women’s Rights Movement.
“Maternity pads and baby diapers as well as some baby clothes and snacks for moms,” the NGO said.
“Please pray for their speedy recovery.

More than 100 families currently on lockdown at the Delai Saweni settlement outside Lautoka were assisted with basic food rations by the Foundation for the Rural Integrated Enterprises and Development (FRIEND) today.
Resident Anokh Kumar said most families had been without food and this was why they reached out to FRIEND Fiji for assistance.
“We would like to thank FRIEND Fiji for coming to our rescue,” Mr Kumar said.
