The S.C. Highway Patrol said one person was killed in a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning. near Simpsonville.
Trooper Joel Hovis said the crash happened around 5:35 a.m. on West Georgia Road when the driver of a Dodge pickup truck was heading south and ran off the left side of the road, striking a guardrail and a bridge before overturning.
The driver was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be removed. The driver died at the scene. It is unknown if the driver was wearing a seat belt.
The incident is under investigation by the Greenville County Coroner s Office.
A 24-year-old Greenville man died in a motorcycle accident on North Pleasantburg Wednesday night, according to the Greenville County Coroner s Office.
Jonathan Tyler Hildreth, 24, of Greenville, died just after 9 p.m. while he was being taken to the hospital, according to the Greenville County Coroner s Office. .
The Greenville County Coroner s Office and the Greenville Police Department are investigating, according to the Coroner s Office.

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - A South Carolina man is facing a murder charge after a body was found in the woods behind a home near Greenville.
Russell Wydell Gilliam Jr., 20, of Piedmont was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office identified the body as that of 28-year-old Octravious Lamar Jones of Piedmont.

Jones body was found in the woods on Saturday, The Greenville News reported.
Investigators say that on April 17, Gilliam stabbed the victim multiple times following an argument on April 17.
