Missing woman found dead in Houghton Lake Updated Apr 28, 2021; ROSCOMMON COUNTY, MI – The body of a missing woman has been found floating in Houghton Lake. The Roscommon County Sheriff’s Office had been looking for Christy Jackson through social media and public assistance since she was last seen walking the shoreline of Houghton Lake near the intersection of M-55 and Holly Avenue in Denton Township on April 7. She was found in the popular lake on Tuesday, April 27, according to deputies who had been assisting the Denton Township Police Department in coordinating search efforts and mutual aid response. “We would like to thank all who assisted over the many days of searching,” a news release reads. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Christy’s family and loved ones as they grieve through their loss.”
