Authorities on Thursday continue to search for a missing woman whose car was swept away by a landslide the day before in the Columbia River Gorge.
Searchers have found part of the car 50-year-old Jennifer Moore was driving when the landslide hit, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office. But Moore has yet to be found, and it doesn’t appear the part of her vehicle that was located remains attached to the rest of the car.
Search and rescue crews could be seen using yellow inflatable rafts to move over the mud from the landslide, which covers a large swath of land in the Dodson area east of Multnomah Falls.
Searchers used inflatable yellow rafts and drove metal poles into deep mud Thursday as they searched for a woman who was swept away by a mudslide in Oregon during a powerful winter storm
