Vaccination site in Wilmington ready for 12 and up AIM Media Midwest WILMINGTON The state of Ohio Wilmington Air Park Drive-Thru Vaccination Clinic will have an expanded offering of the Pfizer two-dose COVID-19 vaccination series given approximately 21 days apart for ages 12 and up plus the Johnson & Johnson one-dose vaccine for ages 18 and up starting Friday, May 21. This expands the eligibility for this convenient clinic to any Ohioan that is 12 or older. The clinic is located at the Wilmington Air Park Welcome Center parking lot at 1199 Airborne Road. You can schedule your appointment at gettheshot.coronavirus.ohio.gov. Drive-thru appointments are available on Fridays between noon and 5 p.m. and Saturdays between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. The site will have 250 appointments doses of the vaccine each day. This provides every Ohioan from age 12 and up the ability to receive their vaccinations in the safety and convenience of their car.

May 13, 2021 The Pfizer vaccine is now available in Ohio for people ages 12 and up.  Highland County’s first dose Pfizer vaccine clinic for those 12 and older is going to be held on Wednesday, May 19 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Highland County Health Department. Pre-registration is required. Walk-ins will not be accepted. To register for Highland County’s Pfizer vaccine, click HERE, or call the Highland County Health Department at 937-393-1941.  For residents of Fayette County, Fayette County Public Health has a clinic scheduled for Tuesday, May 18th from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Online registration can be found on the Fayette County Health Department’s website.

Learn what you can do to protect yourself. Hepatitis A is a vaccine-preventable liver infection caused by the hepatitis A virus (HAV). HAV is found in the stool and blood of people who are infected. Hepatitis A is very contagious. It is spread when someone unknowingly ingests the virus through close personal contact with an infected person or through eating contaminated food or drink. Symptoms of hepatitis A can last up to 2 months and include fatigue, nausea, stomach pain, and jaundice. Most people with hepatitis A do not have long-lasting illness.
