The Hastings Prince Edward District School Board board of trustees have accepted the resignation of Director of Education Sean Monteith, effective at the end of June.
In a release issued Wednesday morning, board of trustees chairperson Lucille Kyle thanked Monteith for his contribution to the local board.

The Keewatin Patricia District School Board has received notification of two students at Open Roads School in Dryden testing positive for COVID-19.
The Northwestern Health Unit has directed the board to close impacted classrooms and cohorts in the school effective today.
The positive cases are being followed up with by the health unit and all contacts of the cases are being called and given instructions.
The NWHU says these cases don’t meet the criteria to be deemed an outbreak, as there’s no evidence of spread within the school at this time.
