After arrest, rebel YSRCP MP taken to CID office in Andhra s Guntur ANI | Updated: May 15, 2021 08:20 IST
Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) [India], May 15 (ANI): Lok Sabha MP and rebel YSRCP member Raghu Ramakrishna Raju was brought to the Crime Investigation Department (CID) office in Guntur district late on Friday evening.
The CID had arrested Raju in Hyderabad earlier on Friday and filed a non-bailable case against him. He was arrested in a case filed under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on the allegations that he acted in a way that is detrimental to the prestige of the state government.

Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) [India], May 11 (ANI): An FIR has been registered against Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu at Guntur s Arundalpet police station for allegedly causing fear among people about N440K variant of novel coronavirus.
Pachala Anil Kumar (37), a lawyer in Guntur s Disrict Court, filed the case complaining that Naidu and his party representatives spoke in media about the second wave of coronavirus and stated that the new N440K variant originated in Andhra Pradesh is 10 to 15 times more dangerous and its spreading rate is higher than normal coronavirus.

Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) [India], May 8 (ANI): A chaos ensued as people rushed to take their dose of COVID-19 vaccine at Urban Health Centre in Narasaraopeta city of Guntur district on Friday.
To control the situation, Narasaraopet Sub-Collector Srivas Nupur Ajay Kumar reached the spot and deployed police personnel. People are then made to form queues to get vaccinated.
Andhra Pradesh reported 17,188 new COVID-19 cases and 73 deaths in the last 24 hours, said the state health department on Friday.
With these, the case tally in the state reached 12,45,374. Meanwhile, 12,749 people recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 10,50,160. The active number of COVID cases in Andhra Pradesh stands at 1,86,695.

Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) [India], April 23 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh s Anti-Corruption Bureau on Friday arrested the chairman of Sangam dairyDhulipalla Narendra Kumar for alleged irregularities at the diary.
The ACB held the accused from his residence in Chintalapudi village, Guntur district this morning at around 7 am.
A press release stated that Narendra has been charged under the various sections of the Indian Penal Code including 408, 409, 418, 420, and 465.
According to ACB, he has been taken into custody under a non-bailable offence. However, the accused may seek bail through court.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh s Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief N Chandrababu Naidu has condemned the arrest of Dhulipalla Narendra.
