(WKBT) Anyone seeking a COVID-19 vaccine should complete an online form to be connected with a vaccine provider, according to the La Crosse County Health Department. The department launched the new Vaccine Screening and Interest Form Tuesday to connect eligible vaccine recipients with providers, according to a health department news release. Gundersen Health System and Mayo Clinic Health System will contact patients through MyChart and Patient Online Services, the department said. Current Mayo Clinic Health System patients through patient online services or letters in the mail. If a provider contacts a patient, the person does not need to complete this form.

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – As the COVID-19 vaccine distribution continues, the La Crosse County Health Department working to connect with health care workers. Community organizations that have health care workers that do not work for Gundersen or Mayo Clinic Health Systems are asked to contact the Department. The goal is to create a list of phase 1-A health care.

January 14: Weekly Driftless Region COVID-19 update DRIFTLESS - Over the past week COVID-19, diagnoses statewide increased from 487,938 on Monday, Jan. 4 to 508,346 on Monday, Jan. 11. That is a statewide increase of 20,408 cases. The number of deaths increased from 4,884 to 5,162, an additional 278 deaths, according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) announced today that Police and Fire personnel will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine beginning January 18, 2021 which begins the first step into phase 1B for Wisconsin. Wisconsin has been vaccinating the 1A population since December 14, 2020 which includes frontline health care workers and residents of long term care facilities including nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
