LSU, No. 3
Texas Tech and No. 5
Florida State. This is the first time since the 2015 season that the Ducks have been No. 1 in consecutive weeks (Oregon was No. 1 from Week 1 to Week 3 six years ago).
The second-ranked Tigers gained ground on the Ducks, who were idle this past weekend. LSU bolstered its spot in the National TFRI with three top-5 marks nationally: Noah Williams in the 400 (No. 2, 45.47); Sean Burrell in 400 (No. 5, 45.57); Eric Edwards Jr. in the 60H (No. 5, 7.78). Those pair well with the six national top-10 marks LSU already had from previous efforts.
The third-ranked Razorbacks saw
Amon Kemboi and
Iowa Central CC headlines the National TFRI for the second week in a row. Right now, the Tritons have 30 national top-10 marks spread across all event areas. While Iowa Central CC only has one national leader in
Danshinelle Dyer (60H), it features multiple top-10 marks in the 60 (x2), 800 (x2), 1000 (x2), mile (x3), 5000 (x3), 60H (x2), high jump (x2), triple jump (x2), weight throw (x3) and relays (x2).
Cloud County CC jumped two spots from Week 1 to No. 2 in Week 2. The T-Birds starred at the Region VI/KJCCC Invitational this past weekend, putting up 11 marks that reside in the top-10 nationally. Two-time National Athlete of the Week
