MISSOULA â A coalition of Missoula housing partners received final plat approval from the county on Thursday for a permanently affordable residential project planned near West Broadway and Mullan Road.
Now years in the making, the Trinity project would provide roughly 130 units of affordable housing, along with wrap-around services. The apartments are planned on property donated by Missoula County in 2019.

Applications are now open for builders seeking Low Income Housing Tax Credits to spur construction of affordable housing. (Shutterstock)
AUSTIN, TX As part of the city s ongoing efforts to build more affordable housing in Austin, officials on Monday launched the application process for developers intent on construction for low-income residents.
To that end, the Housing and Planning Department announced the 2021 application process for developers seeking resolutions of no objection for 4 Percent Low Income Housing Tax Credits. The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs provides the financial tool enabling housing developers to sell federal tax credits to equity investors in exchange for building low-income rental housing.
Port moving closer to this construction on Bellingham s waterfront

Jan. 12 While there s plenty of work still to do, the Port of Bellingham s plans to bring workforce housing and a food campus to the waterfront are progressing to a point where construction could start early next year.
Port commissioners were given a presentation from staff at a Tuesday, Jan. 5, meeting about the project, which is slated to be built on the corner of Cornwall Avenue and the relatively new West Laurel Street. Known as The Millworks, it is being led by a group of local agencies, including the Whatcom Community Foundation.
Senior Judge
Robert Rancourt was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Addiction Policy Forum. As a member of the board, Rancourt joins leaders across the fields of prevention, treatment, recovery, criminal justice, and advocacy who work to support patients, families, and communities impacted by addiction.
Since his appointment as a Minnesota district court judge in 2002, Rancourt has championed improving how the judicial system responds to addiction. In September 2020, he was assigned to serve statewide as senior judge for Minnesota.
“I am honored to serve on the Board of Directors of the Addiction Policy Forum,” said Rancourt. “This is a wonderful organization that is leading the fight against the deadly consequences of addiction.”
