Two Cathedral City brothers accused of kidnapping a man and holding him against his will were arrested Tuesday and jailed.
Carlos Jose Espinoza, 30, and Eduardo Luis Espinoza, 32, both of Cathedral City, were arrested Tuesday and booked into the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio. They were charged with kidnapping, torture, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon and terrorist threats.
Police dispatchers received a 911 call Tuesday from a man who said he had been beaten, zip-tied and held against his will for days, according to the Cathedral City Police Department, which did not release the name of the alleged victim, who was described only as a 36-year-old Cathedral City resident.

A 29-year-old man is in custody after police said he stabbed his father to death in a Cathedral City neighborhood Thursday morning.
Cathedral City Police were called to the 28000 block of Avenida Marquesa at around 7:39 a.m. Sgt. Larry Sanfillippo said a man called 911 to report his father was being stabbed by somebody at the home
A neighbor told a News Channel 3 videographer that a loud commotion was heard coming from the house where police were investigating.
Officers arrived on scene and the suspect, identified as a 29-year-old man from Cathedral City, was taken into custody without incident.
