April 26, 2021 UPDATE 4/26/2021: On April 25, 2021, at approximately 8:41 p.m. deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 45500 block of Coronado Drive in Great Mills, for the reported shooting involving multiple victims. Two male victims were located, ages 18 and 13. Both victims sustained gunshot wounds and were transported via helicopter to area trauma centers and are listed in stable condition. Following the initial shooting, a second shooting was reported at approximately 9:34 p.m. in the 21600 block of Eric Road in Lexington Park. Deputies located a 22-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was transported via helicopter to an area trauma center for treatment and is listed in stable condition.

Charges are currently under review with the Office of the State’s Attorney Office for St. Mary’s County. The victim has been identified as Anthony Lawrence Ford, 19 of no fixed address. On June 30, 2013, Conrad Leland Young, Jr., was arrested for DWI in St. Mary’s County by Deputy Lance. On December 13, 2014, Conrad Leland Young Jr., was arrested for DWI in St. Mary’s County by Deputy K. Molitor.

On Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 3:15 p.m., the suspect placed two Vankyo movie projectors into his backpack and left the California Walmart store without paying for them. On Saturday, April 4, 2021, at 1:57 p.m., the suspect placed merchandise under his shirt at the Walmart store and passed the last points of sale. Loss prevention staff stopped the suspect and recovered the items, but the suspect fled the store. March 8, 2021 The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information and the identity of the culprit(s) in a vandalism investigation. Some time during the overnight hours of Tuesday, February 23, through Wednesday, February 24, 2021, an unidentified person or persons damaged property at Abell’s Wharf in Leonardtown, a county-maintained waterfront park. Damaged in the vandalism were informational signs, a portable toilet and a grassy area of the park resulting in an estimated $2,900 in damages.
