Ghulam Muhammadabad police recovered the twins after a few hours and registered a case. According to police sources, Kiran Bibi, wife of Khalid, a resident of Chak No 123GB Sadhupura, came to the hospital with her mother Rukhsana Bibi on July 27 and gave birth to twins at 11pm. A woman identified as Samira Bibi came to Kiran and told her at dawn that she was going to get both babies checked in the nursery ward along with their grandmother. However, she allegedly put the twins in a bag and fled.

24 more test positive for COVID-19

July 27, 2021 FAISALABAD: Some 24 more people were tested positive for COVID-19 in Faisalabad during the last 24 hours. According to health department sources, 1,291 tests for coronavirus were conducted in public and private sector hospitals during the same period. He said that total active cases in Faisalabad were 242 while recoveries were recorded 20,549. He said that 339 beds were allocated at the Allied Hospital, 133 at the DHQ Hospital and 150 at Govt General Hospital Ghulam Muhammadabad for COVID-19 patients. At present, 33 patients were under treatment at the Allied Hospital and 11 at DHQ Hospital. He added 112 confirmed patients were isolated at their homes in the district. 45 criminals held: Police Monday arrested 45 criminals from various parts of the district and recovered drugs and illegal weapons from their possession during the last 24 hours. According to the police, cops nabbed 18 drug pushers and recovered 2.2 kg hashish and 197 litre liquor from their possession.

He said 1,570 tests for coronavirus were conducted in public and private sectors during the same period. He said so far 20,542 patients had recovered from the disease while total active cases in Faisalabad had reached 220. He said 339 beds were allocated at the Allied Hospital, 133 at the DHQ Hospital and 150 beds at General Hospital Ghulam Muhammadabad for COVID-19 patients. At present, 32 patients were under treatment at the Allied Hospital, while 15 at DHQ Hospital and four were admitted to General Hospital Ghulam Muhammadabad, he added.

He said that 20,506 patients had recovered from the disease so far while total active cases in Faisalabad had reached 208. He said that 339 beds were allocated at the Allied Hospital, 133 at the DHQ Hospital and 150 beds at General Hospital Ghulam Muhammadabad for COVID-19 patients. Currently, he added, 39 patients were under treatment at the Allied Hospital, nine at DHQ Hospital and four were admitted to General Hospital Ghulam Muhammadabad.
