ROMULUS, Mich. (FOX 2) - A child care worker in Romulus had her license suspended after concerns about supervision arose and she was accused of using prohibited means of discipline.
Shelley Macfarlane was caring for children at a home at 9265 Washington. The Michigan Licensing and Regulatory Affairs said it received a complaint about Macfarlane on May 25.
Officials said an investigation found violations of the Child Care Organizations Act and administrative rules. Macfarlane is not allowed to provide child care and must tell all parents whose children she cared for that her license has been suspended.

May 19, 2021 - The Dept. of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA), Child Care Licensing Bureau (CCLB), has summarily suspended and issued a notice of intent to revoke the family child care home license of Gail Parker, located at 524 Fenton Street, Kingsley.
Effective May 17, 2021, the summary suspension order prohibits Parker from operating a family child care home at 524 Fenton Street, Kingsley, or at any other address or location. Accordingly, she may not accept children for care after that date and time. The order also requires the licensee to inform all parents of children in her care that the license has been suspended and that she can no longer provide child care.
