A student not too long ago himself, musician Asim Azhar is expressing solidarity with Pakistani students who are campaigning to get their annual examinations delayed due to the chaos of the coronavirus pandemic.
He used the trending hashtag #Examscancelkaro and explained how the unfortunate situation has affected students study routines, with most educational institutions still unable to cover their entire syllabus. Students have really been disturbed due to the ongoing pandemic causing the institutes to close/open again and again, he said. I personally know some students that haven’t been able to complete their syllabuses as well. Please do something and stand in solidarity with the students.

Classes one to eight for all public and private schools in Punjab will remain closed till Eidul Fitr, Punjab Education Minister Dr Murad Raas announced on Twitter Tuesday.
The provincial education minister s announcement came right after Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood
addressed a press conference after holding an important meeting at the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) attended by all the education and health ministers to decide further on closure or reopening of schools amid the worsening coronavirus situation in the country.

O and A level students across Pakistan will sit for the Cambridge International Assessments this year as per schedule, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood said.
In an NCOC meeting on Tuesday, he said that the exams will begin on May 10 as decided by the Cambridge board. We have talked to the board and these exams will be held as per schedule with strict SOP implementation.

Demanding teacher-assessed grades, dozens of students of the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) system staged a protest outside the Karachi Press Club (KPC) on April 2 against the planned O and A Level examinations in April and May.
After studying online for the whole year, they said that they would not appear for tests in classrooms. The protesting students and their parents demanded the federal government to cancel the CAIE examinations in light of the pandemic. Like other countries, they asked for marking to be done on the basis of teacher assessed grades.
