Schools in Sindh will not reopen as per the schedule given by the federal government, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said. In a press conference on Sunday, he said that 100% attendance in schools won t be allowed until coronavirus cases in Pakistan reduce to zero.
Pakistan has decided to resume five-day classes in schools starting March 1, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood confirmed. He said that the restrictions were imposed in some major cities to conduct staggered classes till February 28. The schools and universities resumed on January 18 with 50% strength and students were being called in on alternate days. The educational institutions have been told to ensure implementation of SOPs. Schools must check the temperatures of students at the entrance and ensure social distancing. Classrooms and halls at schools and colleges should be sanitised, and hand sanitisers should be installed at multiple points inside the campuses. .

The Lahore police have arrested and registered cases against five more students for protesting against on-campus examinations outside the University of Central Punjab on January 26.
The FIR was registered by the state at the Township police station. It read that the five suspects, identified as Zubair Siddiqui, Sanaullah, Ali Ashraf, Salman Sikander, and Haris Asad, incited students outside the varsity to resort to violence through hate speech.

Four students arrested by the Lahore police on charges of protesting and rioting outside the University of Central Punjab against in-person examinations on January 26 have been released over lack of evidence.
On Saturday, investigating officer Muhammad Hussain released Haris Ahmed Khan, Sulaiman Sikander, Muhammad Ali, and Sanaullah citing that no incriminating material against them was found on record .
The students were arrested on January 29 for inciting students outside the varsity to resort to violence through hate speech. A clash between students and security guards occurred during the protest. The students said that the guards attacked them with batons and bats but
