Ondo FRSC confirms six dead in bus crash

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sunday said that six person died in the auto crash in which a passenger bus plunged into a river at Aponmu village.
Image maker of the Ondo FRSC, Abiola Fadumo said those that died included three males, two females and a child.
Fadumo who told vanguard that thr rescue operation ended at about 7pm said eight persons injured in the accident were rushed to the hospital.

The resident said he feared that many people would have been roasted to death in the process.
“It was a very big fire which consumed nearby shops as well as several houses.
“We are afraid that many people would have been consumed because the fire is still raging,” the witness who declined his name on print said.
But, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state has so far confirmed 12 dead, including eight adult males, three adult females and one male child.
Corps Commander, Yakubu Mohammed, told our correspondent on the phone that the number could even be more, stressing that those 12 recovered at the moment were directly involved in the accident as he added that his men were yet to determine those who might have become victims in the houses caught up by the tragic fire.

Tanker explosion claims 12 lives in Benue ― FRSC

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed the death of 12 persons in a tanker explosion accident that occurred at Oshigbudu, Agatu Local Government Area of Benue.
A statement by Mr Oladele Meshach, the FRSC Public Education Officer, Benue Sector Command, on Monday in Makurdi, said the explosion occured on Sunday evening.
Meshach said 12 persons lost their lives during the explosion, while property were also destroyed.
He quoted the Sector Commander, Mr Yakubu Mohammad, as warning all petroleum tanker owners against non-use of “Safety Valves” to guard against spillage of petroleum products when involved in a crash.
