The Zonal Commanding Officer for Zone 4, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, comprising Plateau, Benue and Nasarawa states, Assistant Corps Marshal Kayode Olagunju, has revealed that the Corps has Monitoring and Surveillance Officers in mufti going round and in commercial buses to fish out the bad eggs in the agency.
Olagunju also called on all officers and road users to strive to avoid and prevent the “last minute” crashes, as 2020 comes to the end in few hours.

The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, has urged Nigerians to discard all bad driving habits, which led to increasing in road accidents and fatalities in the outgoing year.
He particularly called on Nigerians to drive safely and stay safe as they enter into the new year, saying “all bad driving habits should be discarded while the good lessons learnt and practised during the outgoing year should be sustained with a commitment to ensuring personal safety and health of the individuals”
Head of operations, Delta State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Bakare Fatai Adesina, yesterday, confirmed the death of no fewer than 15 persons in an auto crash at Alifikede, near Agbor in Ika South Council of the state.
The Guardian learnt that the fatal accident occurred about 2.15pm, as a luxurious bus ran into a Toyota Sienna car, which was plying one-way lane along the Asaba/Benin expressway.
Eyewitness said five persons died on the spot, while men of the FRSC rushed other passengers, who sustained injuries to a nearby hospital where others passed away.
When contacted, Head of Operations of the state command of FRSC, Bakare Fatai Adesina confirmed the accident, saying he was yet to get details.

At least 23 people have been killed in a road crash around Masha village along the Makera-Mokwa Road in Mashegu Local Government Area of Niger State.
No fewer than 33 others sustained varying degrees of injury during the accident, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said on Monday.
The FRSC Sector Commander in Niger, Joel Dagwa, disclosed this to
Channels Television, adding that the accident occurred on Monday afternoon.
Dagwa explained that the accident was a lone crash involving only a blue DAF trailer (95 Model) and was a result of speed limit violation and loss of control.
