Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, says six hundred personnel will be deployed to Anambra State to ensure the free flow of traffic during the yuletide, particular at the bridgehead Onitsha.
Oyeyemi stated this at the Governor’s Lodge, Onitsha when he called on Governor Willie Obiano to chart an understanding of measures to the improved traffic situation in the state during the Christmas and new year celebration.
FRSC boss who said that the visit is the sixth exchange of brief between the Federal Road Safety Corps and the Anambra State government, which he stressed has yielded desired results, assured that they will relocate to Head Bridge, Onitsha to ensure that nobody passes the night on the bridge.

A total number of 253 people lost their lives to road traffic crashes (RTC) between January and November this year in Kwara State, the state command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has said.
Speaking with journalists in Ilorin, on Tuesday, the state sector commander, Jonathan Owoade, said that a total of 321 crashes involving 2,399 people were recorded during the period under review.
The FRSC boss, who said that 1,103 people were injured, added that 253 lost their lives.

Lagos – The management of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has said that all applicants for the National Driver’s Licence must present the National Identification Number (NIN) before they can be captured for any class of the licences produced by it with effect from December 21, 2020.
The agency new decision was in compliance with the Federal Government’s directives on the harmonisation of citizens’ data by relevant agencies.
In a press statement signed by the Assistant Corps Marshal Bisi Kazeem, all driver’s licence applicants are therefore, expected to present their National Identification Number from the date, before they can be attended to, adding that there would be no waiver for anyone.
