Auto crash kills 4, injures 4 others in Bauchi

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says four persons were killed and four others sustained injuries in an accident that occurred in Wailo village, Darazo Local Government Area of Bauchi on Thursday.
Mr Yusuf Abdullahi, the Sector Commander of FRSC in Bauchi, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday.
Abdullahi said the accident, which happened around 2:45 p.m. was caused by speed violation and wrongful overtaking.
According to him, all the persons involved in the accident are male adults.
“The four people died immediately at the scene of the crash and their bodies were deposited at the Darazo General Hospital Mortuary,” he said.
The commission also arrested two members of a certificate forgery syndicate, Mr. Sunday Okpara and Abdulrahman Razak, for forging the certificate of the university for the two officials of FRSC.

Two officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have been arrested for presenting fake Bachelor of Science degree certificates to the corps.
FRSC Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem made this known in a statement in Abuja on Friday, NAN reports.
Kazeem said two members of a certificate forgery syndicate who forged the certificates for the officials were also arrested.
He said the Corps had contacted the University of Abuja to ascertain the authenticity of their certificates when the school confirmed that the degree certificates were forged.
“The two FRSC officials were found to have paid N500,000 as a bribe to falsify the records of the university to back their claim.
