He said an official letter was submitted to the Home Ministry and the Registrar of Societies (ROS) director-general Monday (May 17) and hoped that the request would be allowed until the MCO is relaxed and interstate travel is permitted. The DAP National Congress is scheduled to be held on June 20 and notifications had been sent to all DAP branches nationwide. There is also a possibility that the MCO will be extended, making it difficult for the Congress to be held on the set date, he said in a statement here Tuesday (May 18).
Other Activities Which Are Not Permitted
Any activity that could cause many people to be present at the same location that it complicates physical distancing and compliance with the instructions set by the Director General of Health.

Crossing of state and district boundaries are not allowed (based on district boundaries set by the State Government).

Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia will again implement the Movement Control Order (MCO) nationwide from Wednesday (May 12) to June 7 in an effort to curb the growing spread of Covid-19.

(pic) announced the enforcement of the MCO after a Special National Security Council (MKN) Meeting on Management of Covid-19, which he chaired in Putrajaya, Monday.
“With daily cases exceeding 4,000, 37,396 active cases and 1,700 fatalities reported as of May 10, Malaysia is facing the third wave of the pandemic, which can trigger a national crisis.

“The emergence of new variants with higher infection rates, an alarming constraint to the capacity of the healthcare system and poor SOP compliance among the people demand that the Government take a more drastic action to prevent the country from falling into a more severe health catastrophe,” he said.

Announcing the scheme, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said it was implemented under the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act 2011 as a measure to curb the increase in prices of essential goods during the month of Ramadan and ahead of the Aidilfitri celebration.
“The effective period for SHMMP Aidilfitri 2021 is 22 days before the festival, on the day of the festival and seven days after that,” he said in a press conference here, Monday.
