Senior centers set to reopen June 11, new deaths identified in audit

Hopkinsville, KY, USA / WHOP 1230 AM | News Radio Jun 1, 2021 | 4:41 PM Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear reported Tuesday that senior citizens center will reopen on June 11, and his live press conferences concerning COVID are coming to an end. The governor reported 137 new cases, and announced that the audit being conducted on the state reporting system concerning COVID-19 related deaths has come to an end.  While he reported one new death, there were 260 identified deaths he says hopefully this catches them up fully and they’ll have no more delayed reporting.

Ky adds 440 new COVID cases, 19 deaths

Hopkinsville, KY, USA / WHOP 1230 AM | News Radio May 26, 2021 | 4:18 PM Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear reported 440 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, and the positivity rate continues to drop in the state. The positivity rate is now at 2.40 percent there are currently 349 Kentuckians in the hospital with COVID-19, 119 in the ICU and 50 on a ventilator.  The governor also reported 19 new COVID-19 related deaths, three of which were identified in the ongoing audit of the state reporting system.  That puts the death toll in the Commonwealth at 6,744. Christian and Trigg County remain ‘yellow’ on the state incidence rate map, and Todd County is labelled as ‘orange’.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear reported 263 cases of COVID-19 in the state Monday. He also reported a positivity rate of 2.61 percent, which is fairly on par for the recent positivity rate Christian County remains in the bottom five of counties for vaccination rate, with 18 percent of the population having been vaccinated against COVID-19. There are currently 343 Kentuckians in the hospital with COVID-19, 101 in the ICU and 71 on a ventilator.  Four more individuals have died due to COVID-19. Christian County remains ‘yellow’ on the state incidence rate map and is joined by Trigg County in that category, while Todd County remains ‘orange’.
