56 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Catawba County between Friday afternoon (April 23) and today (April 26). Catawba County Public Health reports a total of 18,417 cases of the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic. There were no new virus-related deaths reported over the weekend, leaving the total at 300. Hospitalizations remained at 14, the same total as Friday.

No new COVID-19-associated deaths were reported today (April 22) by Catawba County Public Health, leaving the total at 299 since the start of the pandemic. 30 new cases of the coronavirus were reported, lifting the overall total to 18,333. Virus-related hospitalizations remained at nine, the same total as Wednesday’s (April 21) update.
