LOWER TOWNSHIP The parents of a toddler who died after falling into a campground septic tank the night before Easter are suing, saying that the lid was unsecured.
Scott and Ashley Davidson, of the Delmont section of Maurice River, say in their lawsuit that their 3-year-old daughter s deadly slip was not the only time that septic tank lids at the facility were found to be left dangerously loose.
An unresponsive Emma Davidson was pulled from a sewage septic tank at Sun Outdoors Cape May around 9:30 p.m., according to the Cape May Prosecutor’s Office. She died shortly after at a local hospital.

The Cape May Prosecutor s Office was investigating allegations of sexual misconduct among members of the Ocean City Beach Patrol,
The investigation comes following the creation of Instagram account ocbp predators, the outlet reports.
The social media page had garnered nearly 4,000 followers as of Saturday morning, and had hundreds of allegations made by dozens of community members many claiming to have been minors targeted by older guards at the time of the alleged incidents.
Some of the alleged victims also claim to be former beach patrol members themselves.
City officials were made aware of the account the Wednesday, April 14 the same day it was created, several news outlets report.

A well-known Ocean City police officer and local kids’ sports coach has been charged with aggravated sexual assault of a juvenile, authorities said Wednesday.
Sergeant Tyrone Rolls, 50, of Marmora turned himself into the Cape May Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday where he was arrested and taken to the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Rolls is a fixture of the Ocean City community, having received a “key to the city” from Mayor Jay Gillian in 2017. Prosecutors said Rolls is currently still employed by the Ocean City Police Department. His employment status “will be determined in the coming days after the city receives the official charges,” a city spokesperson said, adding that he is currently on administrative leave.
