‘Perfect for Man Utd’ as Kane to Man City dismissed
Date published: Tuesday 18th May 2021 7:49 - Sarah Winterburn
Manchester City will not pay £150m for Harry Kane, according to Micah Richards, who has clearly been listening carefully to Pep Guardiola.
The City boss said it was “impossible” to pay the kind of figures likely to be demanded for Kane, Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe this summer.
That has not quelled speculation that City will be interested in Kane,
There has even been talk of
Gabriel Jesus being offered in part-exchange, but Kane is still likely to be too rich for the blood of City, who have never spent more than £64.3m on any one player.

The Premier League champions led early through Ilkay Gundogan but had to play for over 80 minutes without Joao Cancelo, who was sent off for a foul on Danny Welbeck. Buoyed by an 8,000-strong crowd, Brighton eventually made their numerical advantage count.
Phil Foden s sensational solo goal seemed to have dampened the spirits, but Leandro Trossard s strike ignited the charge which was rounded off by two unlikely scorers.
With Gundogan trudging off with a worrying knee injury, City found their lead wiped out when Adam Webster powered home, before Burn scooped in at the second attempt four minutes later to cap a famous triumph for the Seagulls.

Goals from Ilkay Gundogan and Phil Foden meant things were looking good despite Joao Cancelo s sending-off early on, but three shocking bits of defending handed the points to the Seagulls.
Here s how we rated the players.
Ederson- 6
Did everything well when asked, including some great passes from inside his box. Couldn t do anything about any of the goals.
Joao Cancelo- 4
Whether you think it was a soft red card or not, I can t justify giving any higher a rating to a man whose only major contribution was to make a huge mistake and then get sent off. I just can t imagine us losing this game if not for his shocking start.
