The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a charge sheet against M Sivashankar, former Principal Secretary to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, in a case related to money laundering. The charge sheet comprising more than a thousand pages was submitted before an Ernakulam ED court.
The ED has filed a charge sheet as Sivasankar will complete 60 days of judicial custody on December 29 and if the charge sheet is not filed, the accused is liable to get bail.

Kochi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized Rs 1.85 crore from the accounts of accused Swapna Suresh, Sarith PS and Sandeep Nair in the Kerala gold smuggling case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
The Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court (Economic Offences) had sent Swapna Suresh and Sarith PS to Customs custody till December 8.
The ED has also initiated proceedings to seize all the assets of former principal secretary of the Kerala CMO M Sivasankar who was arrested in connection with the case. The ED will file a charge sheet against Sivasankar on Thursday under the PMLA case.

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 24: Prime Minister Narendra Modi would virtually inaugurate the Kochi-Mangaluru GAIL pipeline on January 5, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Thursday.
Vijayan told reporters that it was a matter of happinessthat the Prime Minister had agreed to launch the natural gas pipeline project. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan called yesterday.
He informed that the Prime Minister consented to virtually inaugurate the Kochi-MangaluruGAIL pipeline on January 5, he said. It was a matter of happiness that a project, believed to never materialise, was finally ready and the Prime Minister himself was inaugurating it, the Chief Minister added.
