Thiruvananthapuram, May 1 : On the eve of the counting of votes for the assembly election, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan dismissed a news report that appeared on Saturday in a leading English daily that he has asked the General Administration Department to make arrangements for his swearing in on Monday.
He said there are quite a few of you (media) who have the habit of letting their imagination run wild and coming out with reports. We have seen such imaginative reports in the past also.

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) [India], May 1 (ANI): Amid the rising COVID-19 cases in the state, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said a complete lockdown may be imposed in the districts with a high positivity rate from May 4. The surge in the COVID cases shows that the situation in the state is going worse. In this context, the interventions have been strengthened at all levels. Apart from the restrictions announced earlier, a full lockdown may have to be imposed in some districts where the Test Positivity Rate is exceeding 50 per cent. We will be going for more stringent restrictions from May 4,” Vijayan said while addressing media personnel on Friday.
