KALAMAZOO, Mich. â Family is grieving the loss of 6-year-old Jaylen Worthington from Kalamazoo.
Jaylen was first admitted to the hospital December 14th with extensive injuries. Family says that he had broken ribs, a punctured lung and trauma to his head.
Doctors later pronounced him brain dead, according to relatives. Jaylen died on December 23rd.

KALAMAZOO â Police say a person was seriously hurt after being struck by a car on Friday.
It happened in the area of N. Park Street around 3 a.m. in Kalamazoo.
Police say they found a person with life threatening injuries and CPR was administered before they were taken to the hospital.
The driver involved left the scene and was not located.
The roadway was expected to be closed for several hours, according to police.
