Gardaí are currently at the scene of a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the R336 between Inverin and Spiddal, Co. Galway, this evening.
A motorcycle and a car collided shortly after 8pm. The driver of the motorcycle, a man aged in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has since been removed from the scene to Galway University Hospital, where a post-mortem is due to take place at a later date. The occupants of the car, a male and female in their 20s were taken to Galway University Hospital as a precaution.

Gardaí are renewing their appeal for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Galway last night.
The crash occurred on the R336 between Inverin and Spiddal, Co. Galway at around 8pm on Saturday evening.
Gardaí and emergency services attended at the scene of collision involving a motorcycle and a car.
The driver of the motorcycle, a man aged in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The occupants of the car, a male and female in their 20s were taken to Galway University Hospital as a precaution.

Fianna Fáil has made a two-point gain in the latest political poll - but at 13 percent, it has less than half the popular support of either Sinn Féin or Fine Gael.
