Gardaí and Emergency Services attended the scene of the blaze at a residence in Glenlara on Sunday evening. Calls to add India to mandatory quarantine hotel list   The Government s facing calls to add India to the list of countries subject to mandatory hotel quarantine. There s concerns surrounding the discovery of three cases here of a variant first detected in India - however it s unclear whether it is more transmissable or causes more serious cases of the disease. Currently arrivals from 71 countries must pre-book their stay at the facilities at their own cost. EMA decision on Johnson & Johnson vaccine Published: Tuesday, 20 April 2021 15:49 The European Medicines Agency says unusual blood clots should be listed as very rare side effects of the Johnson and Johnson Covid vaccine. The EMA says the overall benefits of the vaccine outweigh the risks. In a statement, the regulator says it took into consideration all the data currently available, with eight reports of serious cases of unusual blood clots in the US, one of whom died. The cases reviewed were very similar to the cases that occurred with the COVID-19 vaccine developed by AstraZeneca. As of April 13th, over 7 million people had received the one shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine in the States.
