Submissions open for proposed water park in North Mayo
An aqua park could be operational on Lough Conn by summer 2021.
Mayo County Council is seeking expressions of interest for the project, which would see a major outdoor water complex located at the North Mayo lake’s pier.
The project was the brainchild of Councillor Michael Loftus, who secured support from Mayo County Council, the National Parks and Wildlife Service, and the fisheries sector for the proposed water park.
It’s thought that the facility could attract thousands of visitors and support tourism, enterprises and employment across the region.
