FCSO partners with Granny Nannies to safely bring Santa to local seniors

3 months ago Share Special restrictions were in place to protect the seniors from COVID-19, while still delivering some Christmas joy. by: Shannon Martin Public Affairs Officer, Flagler County Sheriff’s Office The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office partnered with Granny Nannies of Palm Coast for the second year in a row to bring Christmas to the residents of Grand Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center in Palm Coast and Flagler Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bunnell. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, special restrictions were in place this year to ensure the safety of all residents and employees. However, while the means of delivery may have changed, the joy remained the same. 

Man, 61, Killed in Midnight Crash at US 1 and Royal Palms; Alcohol and Cocaine All Over the Car

The crash was reported at 12:29 a.m. Saturday morning just north of Royal Palms Parkway on US1 in Palm Coast. A 61-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 1 and Royal Palms Parkway in Palm Coast shortly after midnight this morning. The cause of the crash is not known for now, but 911 dispatch notes report “alcohol and cocaine all over the car.” A subsequent field test confirmed that methamphetamines were in the vehicle, according to dispatchers’ notes. The DeLand resident was driving a Jeep SUV north on US 1 when, just past Royal Palms Parkway, the Jeep veered off the road and into the median, where it collided with a tree, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The Jeep then veered back onto the northbound lanes, where it came to a stop across both lanes, facing east.

These bicycles are in need of repair but have the potential to become a beloved form of recreation for a child.  The bicycles were donated to the Bike Men of Flagler County who take bicycles or bicycle parts in any condition and recondition them for a new chance to bring joy to a child. Each year, the Bike Men of Flagler County receive bicycle donations in an effort to make children’s dreams come true by receiving a bicycle. Axe Wielding Burglary Suspect Jailed Following Investigation

Dec 18, 2020 5:01 PM Palm Coast, FL - A months-long investigation into an armed burglary eventually leads detectives to a 21-year-old suspect who was already in jail. The initial incident began on May 25th—although law enforcement did not learn of it until later—when a weapon complaint came from a home on Rolls Royce Court. An investigation carried out by the Flagler County Sheriff s Office (FCSO) revealed that three subjects went to the R section home where a verbal altercation took place. The next day, two of the three subjects returned to the home and reportedly entered the property without the permission of the residents. Once they were inside, one subject, who has since been identified as Robert Cameron Wilson, approached a resident with an axe and began to threaten them and others that were at the home. At some point, one of the residents retrieved a firearm and fired around two to three shots as Wilson and another subject were standing outside,

Once deputies determined who he was, finding the suspect was easy: He was already at the county jail on other charges. The investigation revealed that at about noon on May 25, three people went to a house on Rolls Royce Court, and there was an argument. The three then left.
